Last week, our 1º, 2º, and 4º ESO students embarked on an exciting language immersion trip to Oxford, where they had the opportunity to enhance their English skills while experiencing British culture first-hand. It was a week filled with learning, discovery, and fun!
In the mornings, students attended English classes with two different teachers per level, exposing them to different accents and teaching styles. These sessions focused on reinforcing language skills while integrating cultural topics related to the afternoon activities. This approach helped students connect their classroom learning with real-life experiences.
The afternoons were packed with engaging activities that brought history and literature to life. We explored Oxford’s city centre, wandered through its prestigious university, and visited the iconic Bodleian Library. A highlight for many was our trip to Stratford-upon-Avon, where students immersed themselves in the world of William Shakespeare, learning about his life and literary legacy.
Another memorable experience was our boat cruise along the Thames, offering a scenic view of the city from the river. To round off the trip, we visited Christ Church, one of Oxford’s most famous colleges and a filming location for the Harry Potter movies—much to the delight of our students!
By the end of the week, we noticed a significant improvement in their confidence and fluency in English. They were speaking more naturally and making the most of their immersive experience. Above all, they returned home with unforgettable memories, new friendships, and a greater appreciation for the English language and culture.
We look forward to our next adventure!
