Our Values

DEDICATION

We value diversity as a source of inclusion and enrichment, promoting tolerance and social commitment. Each student is unique, and we support them with confidence and patience, attending to their academic, social, and personal needs. Our holistic approach fosters well-being, motivation, and development in an environment of creativity and curiosity.

TEAMWORK

Our culture is based on educational transformation and collaboration, encouraging teamwork, participation, and a positive atmosphere. We count on families as key partners in children’s development and collaborate with the community and experts to achieve shared educational goals.

BEING A ROLE MODEL

We educate in a way that leaves a lasting impact, fostering spirituality, respect, and emotional education. We aim to form students who will transform the world with justice and solidarity, and who develop values, critical thinking, entrepreneurship, and innovation through effort and discipline.

Educational Stages

Santa Gemita (Ages 1–2)

At Santa Gemita, we encourage children’s independence from their earliest years, allowing them to explore and make choices in a safe environment. Communication with families is key to each child’s well-being.

We prioritize early stimulation, enhancing the senses, emotions, and cognitive abilities for holistic development. We support children in managing their emotions, helping them to recognize and express their feelings in a trusting atmosphere.

Our methodology is based on project-based learning, with sensory workshops and play installations for an active experience. Educators guide and present challenges so children can discover for themselves. We also promote psychomotor development with neuromotor activities and swimming starting at age two. Native English-speaking language assistants and music are key tools we use to foster creativity and understanding of the world.

At Santa Gemita, we accompany children on their first learning journey, in a safe and loving environment, always hand in hand with their family.

Early Childhood Education (Ages 3–5)

At Santa Gema, Early Childhood Education is a fundamental stage. We focus on respecting each student’s learning pace and the way children naturally explore and understand the world around them. Our methodology is based on play, observation, experimentation, and real-life experiences. Through project-based learning, learning stations, hands-on math, and meaningful literacy activities, our students are motivated to discover and learn on their own. We also integrate emotional and affective development into daily life, creating an atmosphere of respect and care.

In an increasingly interconnected and globalized world, bilingual learning is a cornerstone of our pedagogical approach. We foster communication skills and provide students with linguistic tools while cultivating a mindset that values diversity and promotes intercultural understanding.

Primary Education

At Santa Gema, Primary Education is an exciting journey where we build strong foundations for each child’s future. It’s about acquiring life skills and understanding the world around them.

Beyond traditional subjects, we focus on developing essential competencies. We nurture curiosity, logical and critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. We encourage oral and written expression, creativity, and a love of reading. Through playful and motivating activities, we enhance their imagination, reading comprehension, and vocabulary—both in Spanish and English. Interdisciplinary projects allow them to explore fascinating topics from multiple perspectives, helping to build creativity and collaboration skills.

At Santa Gema, we believe Primary Education is more than just knowledge acquisition—it's a key stage for fostering creativity and laying the groundwork for each child’s personal, emotional, social, family, and academic development.

Secondary Education

At our school, we aim to provide a transformative and innovative education that supports students’ personal, academic, social, and family development, preparing them for the challenges of a changing world.

The Student Personal Plan (PPA) ensures personalized follow-up. In 1st and 2nd ESO, tutors dedicate two weekly hours to one-on-one interviews in addition to group mentoring. In 3rd and 4th ESO, we foster greater autonomy with one weekly individual session plus group tutoring. Students use a Learning Journal to set, evaluate, and reflect on their goals, developing responsibility and self-management throughout the stage.

Our Guidance Department supports students throughout this entire period. We also guide them toward higher education and professional pathways through fairs and specific activities. At the same time, we strengthen our partnership with families through the "School for Families," addressing key educational topics with expert input.

Baccalaureate

In Baccalaureate, we work to prepare our students comprehensively, combining academic training, personalized guidance, and practical experiences to bring them closer to their future goals.

Each student is assigned a mentor who provides individualized support, helping them identify their strengths, areas for improvement, and aspirations. This is complemented by the Research Project (TDI), an opportunity for students to develop skills like critical thinking and independence while delving into a topic of personal interest. This process not only prepares them for university challenges but also helps them explore their passions and clarify their professional path.

We also promote social engagement through Service Learning projects, where students apply classroom knowledge to create activities that benefit the community. These initiatives strengthen skills like empathy, responsibility, and cooperation, leaving a positive impact on their surroundings.

The admission process for the charter school stages (Infantil, Primary and Secondary Education - E.S.O.) follows the official calendar established by the Community of Madrid, which usually opens between March and April. For Bachillerato and Vocational Training (private stages), we have our own admission process. We recommend visiting our Admissions section from February onwards or contacting our school office.

We would be delighted to show you our facilities! We organise open days before the admission period and also offer personalised visits. You can request an appointment through the contact form on our website or by calling the school office directly.

Yes. According to the scoring criteria established by the Community of Madrid for charter schools, having siblings already enrolled at the school is one of the factors that grants the highest number of points.

Yes, as long as there are available places in the requested year group. This process is different from the ordinary admission process. We recommend contacting our school office so that we can assess your specific case.

In general, you will need the official application form, a photocopy of the family record book (libro de familia), the ID card (DNI) of the parents/guardians and the student (if applicable), and a certificate of residence. For higher stages, the academic transcript from the previous school is also required. The complete list of documents will be provided when you start the process.

We are a charter school (centro concertado) for the stages of Infant Education (second cycle), Primary and Secondary Education (E.S.O.), which means that tuition is subsidised. There are voluntary contributions for complementary and extracurricular services. Bachillerato and Vocational Training are private stages with their own fee structure. For a detailed breakdown of the costs, please contact our administration office.

Our school is a private, bilingual, Catholic-inspired centre based on humanistic values. Our mission is to provide each student with a comprehensive education, helping them find meaning in their lives and develop the ability to face the challenges of today’s society, always from a perspective of personal and social growth.

Our educational project is built upon three essential pillars:

Research, Learning and Service: We promote curiosity, critical thinking and the practical application of knowledge, involving students in projects that serve the community.

Entrepreneurship: We encourage initiative, creativity and the ability to turn ideas into projects, preparing students to face future challenges.

Our Spanish-English bilingual programme is implemented from Early Childhood Education. It involves a high number of teaching hours in English, with certain subjects taught entirely in this language, and we have native English-speaking language assistants. The objective is for our students to develop strong and natural linguistic competence in both languages.

Yes. Throughout the different educational stages, we prepare our students to sit the official Cambridge English exams (KET, PET, First Certificate, Advanced), which allows them to obtain internationally recognised qualifications.

Technology is a key tool in our educational project. Classrooms are equipped with interactive digital whiteboards, and we promote the educational use of devices such as tablets and laptops, especially in the upper stages, to help students develop their digital skills.

We strive to maintain a ratio that allows for the most personalised attention possible, always within the limits established by the Department of Education for each educational stage.

In addition to Early Childhood Education (ages 3–5), Primary, Secondary Education (E.S.O.) and Bachillerato, we also offer:

Santa Gemita (ages 1 and 2): A programme specifically designed for the youngest children, aimed at stimulating their overall development in a safe and nurturing environment.

We also offer Vocational Training (Formación Profesional).

We offer the Science and Technology track as well as the Humanities and Social Sciences track. Preparation for the EBAU is intensive, with a rigorous academic programme, mock exams, and close monitoring by the teaching staff to ensure students are as well-prepared as possible for the exam.

From Secondary Education onwards, we offer a continuous academic and career guidance programme. Through individual mentoring sessions, talks with professionals, and university and vocational training open days, we help students make informed decisions about their educational and professional futures.

The regular school day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a lunch break. To help families balance work and family life, we offer extended hours services: “Los primeros del cole” (early morning care) from 7:30 a.m. and “Las tardes del cole” (after-school care) until 6:00 p.m.

We offer a wide range of activities designed to nurture each student’s talents. These include sports (football, climbing, basketball, judo, volleyball), artistic activities (music, theatre, painting) and academic options (languages, robotics, study techniques). The list of activities is updated every year.

Absolutely. Our cafeteria service, with its own in-house kitchen, prepares balanced menus supervised by nutritionists. We offer adapted menus for all types of allergies, intolerances, and medical needs (coeliac disease, diabetes, etc.) upon prior notification and medical justification.

In addition to the cafeteria service, the school offers:

Nursing Service: To attend to any medical needs or emergencies that may arise during the school day.

Health School Programme: A programme dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyle habits and providing first aid and well-being training to the entire educational community.

Yes, wearing the school uniform is compulsory in all educational stages. It promotes equality, a sense of belonging, and facilitates the identification of our students, while also contributing to an atmosphere of discipline and order.

We have a zero-tolerance policy towards bullying. Our Coexistence Plan includes prevention, detection, and intervention protocols. We have a mediation team in place, and our Guidance Department works actively to ensure a safe and respectful school environment for everyone.

Our approach to discipline is based on respect, responsibility, and empathy, in line with our Coexistence Plan. We promote humanistic and Catholic values through tutoring sessions, service-learning projects, and activities that encourage reflection and personal development.

Yes, as a Catholic-inspired school, we offer pastoral activities adapted to each educational stage. These include preparation for the sacraments, charity campaigns, liturgical celebrations, and moments of reflection to help students grow in their faith and human values.

At our school, we have a Guidance Department that works individually with each student. We design specific support plans for students with special educational needs and enrichment programmes for those with gifted abilities, ensuring that every student can reach their full potential.

We place great value on collaboration with families. We encourage participation through the Parents' Association (AMPA), regular meetings with tutors, workshops for families, and school events where their presence plays a key role.

Yes, these are a key part of our educational offering. We organise cultural outings and educational excursions throughout the school year. In addition, we run camps and language immersion programmes abroad during the summer so that students can practise English in a real-life environment.

Our main focus is on Spanish-English bilingual education. However, in the upper stages or as an extracurricular activity, we explore the possibility of offering a third language (such as French or German) if there is sufficient demand and resources to ensure high-quality teaching.

In addition to language immersion trips, we actively seek opportunities for our students to participate in international programmes or cultural exchanges that broaden their global perspective and strengthen their language skills.

We have extensive sports facilities covering over 10,000 m². These include football pitches, basketball and volleyball courts, and spaces suitable for the practice of various sports disciplines, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle among our students.

Through our specialised centre, FP Santa Gema, we offer a wide range of Intermediate and Advanced Vocational Training Programmes in high-demand fields such as Healthcare, Sports, Administration and Finance, and Information Technology. We recommend visiting the website fp-santagema.es to view the complete and updated list of courses.

We offer both the DUAL model, which combines training at the centre with a significant amount of paid practical training in companies, and the traditional model. This allows students to choose the pathway that best suits their goals.

Yes, we have an extensive network of over 1,000 partner companies across all sectors. This ensures that our students carry out their Formación en Centros de Trabajo (FCT – workplace training) in quality professional environments, which often leads to direct employment opportunities.
