Last week, our 1\u00ba, 2\u00ba, and 4\u00ba ESO students embarked on an exciting language immersion trip to Oxford, where they had the opportunity to enhance their English skills while experiencing British culture first-hand. It was a week filled with learning, discovery, and fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the mornings, students attended English classes with two different teachers per level, exposing them to different accents and teaching styles. These sessions focused on reinforcing language skills while integrating cultural topics related to the afternoon activities. This approach helped students connect their classroom learning with real-life experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The afternoons were packed with engaging activities that brought history and literature to life. We explored Oxford\u2019s city centre, wandered through its prestigious university, and visited the iconic Bodleian Library. A highlight for many was our trip to Stratford-upon-Avon, where students immersed themselves in the world of William Shakespeare, learning about his life and literary legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another memorable experience was our boat cruise along the Thames, offering a scenic view of the city from the river. To round off the trip, we visited Christ Church, one of Oxford\u2019s most famous colleges and a filming location for the Harry Potter<\/em> movies\u2014much to the delight of our students!<\/p>\n\n\n\n By the end of the week, we noticed a significant improvement in their confidence and fluency in English. They were speaking more naturally and making the most of their immersive experience.
