Valentine’s Day Celebrations Across Primary

This month, our school celebrated Valentine’s Day with meaningful and creative activities in all three cycles, focusing on love, friendship, and kindness.

In 1st Cycle, students took part in an artistic project inspired by the famous artist Keith Haring. They created their own love-heart characters while learning about four elements of art: shape, colour, line, and space. By cutting, colouring, gluing, painting, and experimenting with patterns, students followed instructions carefully while also expressing their creativity. The results were unique, joyful, and full of imagination.

In 2nd Cycle, the celebration centered on the value of friendship. Students practiced kindness by writing and sharing thoughtful compliments with their classmates. With the support of the Teacher’s Assistant, they worked on vocabulary and written expression, learning how to communicate their feelings clearly and respectfully.

In 3rd Cycle, language assistants led a dynamic activity where students exchanged compliments in English. Although some were shy at first, they quickly gained confidence and shared phrases such as “You are very creative” and “You are a great friend.” The classroom was filled with smiles and positive energy.

Across all cycles, Valentine’s Day became a wonderful opportunity to combine learning with empathy, creativity, and connection, reminding us that love can be found in both big and small gestures.
