San Isidro and Santa Gema

Celebramos San Isidro en el colegio

Last Wednesday, the 21st, we had a very special day at our school, celebrating Saint Isidore the Farmer, patron saint of Madrid, and also our beloved Saint Gemma Galgani. A day filled with tradition and joy.

The hallways and courtyard were filled with flowers thanks to the artistic work of our students. The elementary school students lovingly made tissue paper carnations to decorate the offering to San Isidro and Santa Gema. They looked beautiful!

In addition, the first and second grade students made colorful flowers to decorate the large San Isidro shawl, which was proudly displayed in the center of the playground. Meanwhile, the youngest students in Preschool also contributed their creativity by making fringes for the shawls. What a wonderful team effort!

And of course... “El Chotis”. All the Primary students danced with the Infant students in a beautiful display of coexistence and tradition. Dressed in chulapos and chulapas, they took us to the heart of Madrid with their steps and smiles.

It was a San Isidro celebration filled with excitement, teamwork, and love for our traditions. Thanks to all the teachers and families who made it possible.
